Give experiences that grow your kids’ world

Travelling with kids can be a challenge, whether you are home or away, but it is such a rewarding experience for all the family.

We like to go off the beaten track and really explore wherever it is that we are visiting, whether it be a historical building or enjoying the great outdoors where we let the kids be kids and help find the courage to clamber over rocks or explore that dark and eerie cave.

When exploring places with the kids it is important for them to be properly dressed for the occasion and alongside our trusty waterproofs, woolly hats and gloves and warm winter coats, we would be lost without a good pair of walking boots.

KEEN offers a wide range of hiking boots which are perfect for these outdoor adventures, whether you are a boy or girl of four, fourteen or forty years old.

The Targhee boot is perfect for courageous fathers and sons, whilst the Terradora is made for active mothers and daughters and both styles are waterproof, giving you peace of mind for impromtu paddles in puddles, rivers or even the sea.

One of the features I really love is the heel lock and secure t lace capture system (or easy fit hook and loop closure in little kids editions) which are not only easy to do up, but keep feet stable and secure.

The padded tongue and collar and cushioned footbed gives incredible comfort from the first step too, plus non-marking, robust rubber outsole ensures reliable traction on a wide range of terrains, leaving little ones free to focus on the adventure afoot and discover the beauty of the great outdoors.

Plus, the whole fabulous range of walking boots comes in fun colours sure to please even the most judicious of juniors.

Travel is so much bigger than the destination, outdoor adventures really connect you to the whole family and helps create memories that will keep you talking about them for years.

KEEN currently have a fabulous New Years sale on with up to 40% off their range of hiking boots – to check it out, head to www.keenfootwear.com/en-gb/sale

Expanding our kids’ horizons is so important to their development. They need experiences so much more than any kind of gadget.

What a great idea. I’m a big believer in making memories and not emphasizing things.

The fact that they’re waterproof absolutely sold me! We go hiking, and I hate having to keep the kids out of the little creeks for fear of blisters. It would be great to let them just play!

Traveling as a kid seriously helped to shape myself as person today. I don’t think that if I didn’t travel as a kid, my world view would be so much smaller. Those cute little shoes are a must!

I love when brands put kids’ interests in their products. Many parents will surely worry about hiking with their kids, but with Keen Footwear, they can be rest assured.

I absolutely love Keen, we lived in their shoes all of last summer so I can’t wait to try out their winter offerings. They are so good aren’t they?

Outdoor adventures with our children far outweigh anything for us. The fresh air, the lack of tech in their hands – it’s everything! Great, supportive footwear is always a plus, too!
