Review: Park International Hotel London

When we booked tickets for Eliza to see Frozen the Musical, we decided to make a weekend of it and stay in London to see the Christmas lights.

After researching various hotels, I stumbled on the Park International Hotel in Kensington and it was perfect for our needs.

The hotel is just a short walk from Gloucester Road tube station and in easy reach of the Natural History Museum, Science Museum and Kensington Palace.

The hotel has a 4-star rating and is set within a deluxe heritage building in the heart of Kensington. As we were travelling with Eliza, we booked a triple room. which was set on the ground floor.

With family rooms, you often find that the third bed is a pull out, or sofa bed, but we were pleased to find that she had a proper single bed.

The room had large floor to ceiling windows, a comfy sofa, widescreen TV, free wifi, tea and coffee making facilities and a mini fridge.

The bathroom was small, but perfectly formed, with a large walk in shower, sink and toilet. My only grumble was that their toiletry offering was just shampoo and body lotion – no shower gel or conditioner, so I’d advise you take your own.

The hotel is beautifully decorated with soft furnishings, lamps, mirrors and sideboards.

We pre-booked breakfast for the following morning and found the restaurant downstairs.

It was a buffet style breakfast with the choice of a continental breakfast, or a traditional English breakfast.

This was probably the only disappointing part of the stay as, although it looked delicious, the food was cold and had obviously sitting there for some time, however, we would definitely stay here again for the location.

Where do you like to stay when you visit London?

Are we nearly there yet? is a new online blog run by me, Kara Guppy, and is named as such thanks to my daughter Eliza who always asks that very question when we are less than 5 minutes up the road heading off on our adventures. You may know me from my other family blog chelseamamma.co.uk
