Review: LEGO EXTINCTION Event at Marwell Zoo
Back in March, we were lucky enough to be invited to a secret LEGO workshop, somewhere in Hampshire, to preview the LEGO EXTINCTION event that was heading to Marwell Zoo this summer.
Fast forward to the summer and we were excited to see these fabulous sculptures in their new home, basking in the sun at Marwell.
This world-exclusive showcase has more than 20 awe-inspiring creatures crafted from over 2 million toy bricks, with lost species, including a gigantic woolly mammoth, a hissing titanoboa and a giant ground sloth.

The Extinction event is running between Saturday 19 July – Sunday 7 September 2025, plus, book your visit to Extinction online and go back again for free!!

Marwell is one of our favourite family days out as there is something different to see every time you visit, with 100’s of animals, including giraffe, penguins, rhino, red panda’s and snow leopards, plus 140 acres of park to explore.

For those visiting with a young family, there are 5 adventure play areas and plenty of space to walk / run or zoom around on a scooter.

There are plenty of places to stop for refreshments, a picnic and plenty of toilets and baby change facilities dotted around the park.

I recommend allowing around four hours for your visit, but can can stay as long as you need, within the opening hours of course.
