Our stay at the Hilton Leicester #StayPlayExplore
Last week I wrote a post about what we got up to on our Stay, Play, Explore break in Leicestershire, but what was the accommodation like?
As part of the Stay, Play, Explore package, we stayed at the Hilton in Leicester as it is an excellent base for exploring the attractions and landmarks of this city.
The hotel is comfortable and modern and as a family travelling with 3 children, our room was large enough for us all with two queen size beds and a double sofa bed.
This room was bright and airy and cam with a 32-inch plasma TV with on-demand movies and TV sports packages.
This room also offers a range of special touches including plush bathrobes, slippers, a small bottle of wine, mineral water and various snacks.
The room is fairly open plan with an alcove with the sink and a mirrored wardrobe in, which then leads on to a separate bathroom, which is handy for getting the kids to brush their teeth whilst someone is having a bath or shower.
The room also came with a generous amount of toiletries for everyone to use.
The kids were given a ‘Boss Baby’ Activity pack on arrival which kept them entertained in the room, with word searches, a puzzle and some colouring activities.
After all the fun at we had the kids slept well in their huge beds and were more than ready for breakfast the next morning.
The self-service breakfast was served in the restaurant and included cereal, pastries, a continental breakfast option as well as a traditional full english.
There was also a chef on hand to cook you an omlette to order.
We had a full itinerary booked so were out of the hotel by 9am, however, there is an indoor pool that we had access to as well.
I highly recommend the Stay, Play, Explore package. It is great value for money and gives you access to some amazing attractions.

It’s so lovely to see a hotel that can cater for more than a family of 4. I’ll definitely look at a Hilton next time we travel.
Stay, Play, Explore sounds like a great idea for a family break too!

The room looks lovely! And the breakfast (my favourite bit of hotels!). And the freebies of course 😀 x

That’s great that the one room fitted a family of 5 into so easily! Fab if the kids are little ones like yours – we tend to go for the adjoining rooms now ours are a bit older!! Was the wine and water / jelly beans etc include in the room cost or were these minibar extras? I always tend to avoid taking into the minibar if I can help it as it’s so pricy but if they were included that is an extra bonus! Looks like you had a brilliant time!

It was all included 🙂

I love Hilton hotels, we always stay there for work but not tried this one in Leicester. I love how large the room but for a family room shouldnt the TV be a little higher, away from little fingers lol
