The Bear and the Piano from Carrot Productions
Back in December we were lucky enough to be invited to see The Snowman Live at Salisbury Cathedral which really got us into the Christmas spirit.
One of the highlights of the show was an on-screen performance of the story of The Bear and the Piano, accompanied by the orchestra, which Sebastian had been reading at school and he excitedly narrated it for me as we watched.
When we got home we looked for the film online, but were disappointed to find only the trailer.
Now Carrot Productions has pledged to donate £1 to the World Health Organisation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for each download of The Bear and the Piano motion book to raise valuable funds to support the WHO’s crucial work.
The award-winning book by David Litchfield has been transformed into an enchanting 15 minute motion book, with a beautiful accompanying score and narration by superstar Joanna Lumley and is now available to watch at home: www.carrotproductions.com/download-bear-and-piano for just £4.99, which includes the £1 donation o the World Health Organisation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.

If you have not read the story, it is a beautiful tale about a bear who finds a piano in the woods, learns to play it, and travels to the big city to become rich and famous, but ultimately discovers that his old friends in the forest back home are still the best audience of all.
Accompanied by the orchestra makes it even more special and I can guarantee that the kids will watch it over and over again!!

The illustration on this book is absolutely beautiful. I have to say this is the one thing I miss most about having younger children, the beautiful stories.
Wonderful that they are donating as well, WHO fund needs all the help it can get!

I know if my child saw a performance of a favorite book when he was younger the would have been excited as well. The illustrations look lovely.

We’ve not read this one before. I think my son would love the storybook with all the illustrations. Might even do the watch at home, I do like Joanna Lumpley and it’s great they donate £1 to WHO!
