Aladdin at the Pavilion Theatre, Bournemouth – Review

Posted on
December 11, 2019

We are now firmly in the month of December and one of the highlights of the run up to Christmas is a good, old fashioned pantomime.

This year we were invited to the press night of Aladdin at the Pavilion Theatre, Bournemouth.

The story follows Aladdin, his brother Wishee Washee, and of course his mother Widow Twankey, on a spectacular adventure.

The famous faces of the show were Richard Blackwood of Eastenders fame as the villain we all love to hate – Abanazar, and X Factors Amelia Lily as the Spirit of the Ring.

Bournemouth panto regular and favourites are also back with Noel Brodie as Wishee Washee and David Ball as Widow Twankey.

The pantomime is packed full of everything a brilliant pantomime needs including laugh-out-loud comedy, top-tapping songs, beautiful costumes, stunning scenery, audience participation and of course – a flying carpet!

The kids adored the show and have been singing the “Wishee Washy” song ever since……..I will warn you, it’s a real earworm!!

Aladdin is on at Bournemouth Pavilion until Sunday 5th January with tickets costing from £17 per person.

I’m so jealous that you have been to see a Panto already – I still need to book tickets for our local production

This sounds like a good panto! I haven’t been to a panto in years but my son went last week with his school to see Jack and The Beanstalk and he said it was amazing. Hopefully we can all go as a family next year. 🙂
