Halloween Family Fun at Mighty Claws Adventure Golf

Posted on
October 27, 2017

Back at the beginning of June we were invited to the opening of Mighty Claws Adventure Golf in Bournemouth and the kids have been itching to go back ever since.
This week, Mighty Claws launched their Halloween ‘Shocktober’ celebrations, which run from 9am – 4pm until the 31st October and donned our best costumes and headed down to join in the fun.
Mighty Claws
As well as coming face to face with scary raptors and a terrifying T-Rex on the epic 18-hole crazy golf course, Halloween Shocktober events offer a range of ‘Tricks & Treats’.
Mighty Claws

Little monsters are encouraged to play in their best costumes and take part in a frighteningly fun fancy dress competition, check out the spooky dinosaur cave and win some roarsome prizes by taking a dip into the witches’ cauldron and win 50% off in November if they finish the frightening word search!
Mighty Claws
Set at Playgolf Bournemouth, behind Tesco in Riverside Avenue, Mighty Claws is a truly fun family day out.
Mighty Claws
As you step through the entrance to Sweet Claw Valley, you enter a Jurassic world which stretched out in front of you, complete with animatronic and model dinosaurs and sound effects around every corner.
Mighty Claws
Swing, cut and slice through the epic 18 holes of Jurassic proportions, dodging the scary animatronic Raptors, ginormous T-Rex and a whole host of ancient animated creatures.
Mighty Claws
On the journey you get to travel through caves, around smoking volcanoes, over babbling brooks and past giant waterfalls.
Mighty Claws
The word search was easy to spot as we wandered around the course and the kids soon worked out what the spooky anagram was.
Mighty Claws
Some of the holes are easy and others are quite challenging, which all adds to the fun. I am pretty sure there was some cheating going on though.
Mighty Claws
We did have to fish out a couple of balls from the stream at one point, using the fishing nets they handily provide.
Mighty Claws
The course is aimed at children and adults aged from 3 and up and is based on the book ‘Invasion of the Iron Jaws’ by Michael Volokh. The story tells the adventures of a small group of lovable dinosaurs from Sweet Claw Valley, led by Truly the bright-eyed Troodon, who must undertake a series of fearsome adventures in order to free their valley from the evil Iron Jaws.
Mighty Claws
Mighty Claws Adventure Golf is reasonably priced with 18 holes of fun, costing £6 for Kids, Adults £9 or get a Family Ticket for £25 or an Adult Group (4 Adults) £30, plus they offer birthday packages too.
Mighty Claws Adventure Golf
It took us around 2 hours to get round the course and once finished you can treat the kids to a tasty treat in the Kitchen Club cafe / restaurant opposite the course.

This looks so fun. My children are a bit too small to play crazy golf, but they love dinosaurs, so would love this wen they are a bit bigger.
