Taking the summer holiday reading challenge with Books2Door
Travel may be restricted to the UK this summer and with the current weather a little unsettled, laying on a warm, sunny beach with a good book might be a challenge, but you can still whisk yourself away and immerse yourself in a world of fiction.
Continuing reading throughout the holiday’s is also great for the kids, as it’s the perfect way for your child to pursue his/her individual interests and at the same time maintain and strengthen important reading skills such as vocabulary and comprehension.
We were invited to review Books2Door.com and I let the kids choose the books they wanted for their summer reading challenge.
Books2Door.com select books that they know children love, from treasured classics to the latest must-have series and all at affordable prices.
Sebastian loves everything Star Wars at the moment and opted for Star Wars Jedi Academy, which is styled on comic-book fiction like Captain Underpants.
Eliza choose the Ben Miller series of books as she has been wanting to read his ‘The day I fell into a Fairytale‘ for some time.
Isaac and I listen to Radio One on the journey to and from school and he loves Greg James, so he chose the Kid Normal series of books, about an unlikely superhero.
I find that owning our own books is a great way to get the kids to read off their own back and they all enjoy them so much that they swap the books with each other.
Have you tried Books2Door?

Book2Door sound great. I need to try to encourage my older two to read more. The summer reading challenge sounds like a great idea.
