Preserving holiday memories with a photo book

Posted on
April 28, 2020

Preserving holiday memories seems even more important now we are in lockdown and our walls are filled with images of our favourite travels.

We enjoyed the holiday of a lifetime to Iceland in October 2019 and although I have shared our adventures on the blog, I had yet to do anything with the pictures.

I was invited to review a service with www.my-picture.co.uk/ and because I could not choose just one photograph to print, I chose to make a high quality photo book of our holiday.

Sebby-Reynisfjara-Black-Sand-Beach

It was really easy to do, I chose my layout and how many pages I wanted. I uploaded my pictures to the site and chose to automatically add them. They all added by the date the photo was taken, which was exactly how I wanted them and then all I had to do was make a couple of tweaks to a couple of photo’s so that they were centred how I wanted them.

I was absolutely astounded when my book arrived three days after ordering and I can honestly say it is the best photo book I have ever ordered.

The paper and picture quality is second to none and we have all spent time looking through the pictures and remembering the places we visited.

There are seven types of photo book to choose from and I opted for the Imperial Photo Paper (£40), which has 26 lab-quality photo-paper pages with the choice of a matte or glossy finish, premium lay-flat hardback cover in landscape format and any subsequent double-page costs only £2.75.

It is the perfect gift to help you remember a special day or a holiday of a lifetime and I know our book will be treasured for years to come. Visit https://www.mixbook.com/education-photo-books to get ideas on your photobooks theme.

I’m a big fan of photobooks. It’s a great way to store memories and makes it so much more personal and enjoyable to look through than sitting on say a laptop or something flicking through photos. It’s a great way to bring people together and share memories.

What a lovely photo book, the pictures look so crisp, bright and clear you can tell its great quality! I love the idea of creating photo books for special moments, trips or memories and will definitely look into creating a few myself. They seem so much more practical than having loads of photos laying around or stuck on a memory stick!

the photos of my daughter and my nephew (her favourite cousin) as we live quite a few hours away from family she misses her cousin so much. Every day they FaceTime even though there’s a 4 year age gap they have so much fun and laughter together. Would love to gift my daughter a photo book of her and cousin brother to cherish.

I would create a large photo canvas of our beautiful dog Rosie – she sadly died a week ago and we are heartbroken. I have a photo of her that my sister took where she is posing like Marilyn Monroe. It would do us all good to see her face.
