Preserving holiday memories with a photo book

Posted on
April 28, 2020

Preserving holiday memories seems even more important now we are in lockdown and our walls are filled with images of our favourite travels.

We enjoyed the holiday of a lifetime to Iceland in October 2019 and although I have shared our adventures on the blog, I had yet to do anything with the pictures.

I was invited to review a service with www.my-picture.co.uk/ and because I could not choose just one photograph to print, I chose to make a photo book of our holiday.

Sebby-Reynisfjara-Black-Sand-Beach

It was really easy to do, I chose my layout and how many pages I wanted. I uploaded my pictures to the site and chose to automatically add them. They all added by the date the photo was taken, which was exactly how I wanted them and then all I had to do was make a couple of tweaks to a couple of photo’s so that they were centred how I wanted them.

I was absolutely astounded when my book arrived three days after ordering and I can honestly say it is the best photo book I have ever ordered.

The paper and picture quality is second to none and we have all spent time looking through the pictures and remembering the places we visited.

There are seven types of photo book to choose from and I opted for the Imperial Photo Paper (£40), which has 26 lab-quality photo-paper pages with the choice of a matte or glossy finish, premium lay-flat hardback cover in landscape format and any subsequent double-page costs only £2.75.

It is the perfect gift to help you remember a special day or a holiday of a lifetime and I know our book will be treasured for years to come.

Thanks to my-picture.co.uk, I have a £50 + free shipping Gift Certificate to giveaway to one lucky reader, that can be used anywhere on their site.

I’m a big fan of photobooks. It’s a great way to store memories and makes it so much more personal and enjoyable to look through than sitting on say a laptop or something flicking through photos. It’s a great way to bring people together and share memories.

If I won I would order a photobook for my dad’s birthday in July – I’d put pictures of all the family and the grandchildren in for a lovely keepsake for him

I’d buy some canvasses as we’ve been looking at putting lots of our family photos onto canvas to decorate the stairwell.

I would order a face mask, would be handy for my job to have a re-useable one that you can wash. I would also order a canvas print for my partner, a picture of me and him or something like that

I’d definitely go for the good old fashioned photo book, as I have so many photos of our lovely holidays together as a family, I really should put them together in a book.

I would order a photo book if I won. We went to LA and San Francisco last year to celebrate my 40th and I still haven’t got round to sorting my photos out! It would be a lovely keepsake
